Jack Norflus
Version 2.95 has been posted today. The two main thing 2.95 has is it adds is mix 8 support and it fixes the bug in which Nomad won't continuous mirror the first take after a power cycle. Clacker
For those of us doing doc work, run and gun with long takes, I'm super happy for the latter mirror fix! (And I'm assuming mix-8's are about to be backordered for months?
Chase Yeremian
Mix 8 will connect to Nomad via DB15 connector?
glenn
Mix 8 connects to a USB style connector on Nomad and a DB9 on the Mix 8. Mix 8 comes with a interface cable for either Deva/Fusion or Nomad. Additional interface cables may be purchased from Zaxcom. We have been able to also provide some MIX12 functionality. Mix12 faders, trim pots and input meters are supported. This will allow anyone to use the Nomad as a Deva or Fusion backup with MIX8 or Limited MIX12 support in a pinch. Jack Norflus
My unit shows: "MIX8 is not supported on this hardware" Some Nomads need to have a chip reprogrammed to support mix-8. This reprogram is not able to be done via a software update. If you get that message you need to contact Zaxcom regarding getting your chip updated. John Blankenship
where could that message be found? on startup? I think you have to buy a Mix 8 to see it. Two grand is a lot to pay just to be able to see a message. But, then, this is April first.
