Aural Fixation
I have two Lectrosonocs 411s in the same block that yield different results when scanning. Why os this? How can it be? This scan isn't the most extreme difference that I've experienced, but you should notice that the unit on the right shows stronger signal where the other is also receiving and shows signal where the other shows it's clean. Other times, I've had the unit on the right pickup on all frequencies while the other shows several empty spaces. Is this normal for multiple units in the same block? Perhaps a trip to Lectro is in order? Derek Haff Midwest Audio: KC / Springfield
atheisticmystic
Was just wondering this recently, re-read through the lectro wireless guide and still came up blank. I can't see the physical difference between receiver locations in the bag impacting their ability to scan the general RF environment, so is it the subsequent receivers / transmitters impacting the scan of the previous RX / TX ? Dan Ostroff
I seem to remember that different firmware will have different sensitivity on the scans. What is the firmware version on each?
Toy Robot
I was also wondering this recently. Two of my 211s have different firmware and the scans are always different. Close most of the time, but distinctly different.

What if we all ask really really nice like Senator...will you share your sage opinion? Different scans indicates a mothership inquiry?? Aural Fixation
Thanks, guys. I think I'll give Lectro a call. The firmware is different on each, but the one showing more interference is the newer one. Also, I saw here or on the Lectro FAQ that firmware is more dependent on hardware used than software upgrades. So, maybe that's normal to show different scans. studiomprd
" I think I'll give Lectro a call. " " firmware is more dependent on hardware used than software upgrades " perhaps you need to reread that one, since what you said makes no sense, as "firmware" is the software... Aural Fixation
I know what the firmware is, but Lectro says that the reasons for changing the firmware is often because of different components (hardware) used rather than because of significant improvements in performance. So I doubt that different firmware is the issue nor that an update is necessary or advisable. studiomprd
" So I doubt that different firmware is the issue nor that an update is necessary or advisable. " and that is a reason to not ask Lectro your question ?

ProSound
Sometimes the SSI ( Signal Strength Indicator) needs calibration. Contact the mothership for repair. It isn't firmware related
