Ran across this deleted scene clip from Game of Thrones. Sounds like the pure Raw Production audio with just limited audio editing for L/J cuts. etc

 

 

If memory serves me, these would be DPA lav's..

I'm getting very close to test-renting these, they sound incredible.

The more I edit my Sankens (especially with female speakers) and Countrymans, the more I want to try something else.

Yes very good

 

The older actor is initially puffing on his lav - it should have been biased to one side

or even rigged laterally not vertically (had this problem with Hugh Laurie)

 

I use Sonotrims and B6's and B3's on my water-proof channels

What do you mean, Mike ?

Is Laurie a huffer and puffer, or does he drop his head down when he speaks ?

It's worth pointing out that Julian Glover and Charles Dance are both very experienced stage actors with many years spent performing in theatres in the UK without the aid of reinforcement. When the source is good, half the battle is won.

 

But I do love the DPAs...
