JonG Posted July 28, 2020 Author Report Posted July 28, 2020 I’ve been using the iPad mini mount from Triad Orbit, and have been pretty happy with it. Ideally I’d like something that can mount onto one side of a rack and fold/extend in and out so that I don’t have to install the whole thing every day, and then have a separate place to store it. Here is a link to their iniversal tablet mount: https://www.triad-orbit.com/product/iorbit-universal/
Johnny Karlsson Posted July 28, 2020 Report Posted July 28, 2020 Hey Jon, I have one of these. (LSC sold them). https://www.americanrecorder.com/collections/brand-smart-bracket/products/universal-precision-aluminum-tablet-mount I like it because it comes with standard 1/4-20 thread, so you can choose any clamp or grip gear to mount it. It's a very solid metal construction, so it seems like it will last a very long time. In addition, I contacted the company because there was a flaw in one of the parts when I bought it, and they were super responsive and express shipped a replacement part very quickly.
drpro Posted August 3, 2020 Report Posted August 3, 2020 Ram mount makes some nice kit for tablets and phones. www.rammount.com I have no interest in the company, just a happy customer.
JonG Posted August 3, 2020 Author Report Posted August 3, 2020 @drpro they have a lot of products, is there a specific one that you like?
drpro Posted August 4, 2020 Report Posted August 4, 2020 I am using a single pipe clamp to 1" ball and then either an Iphone or Ipad mount. The ones with the 4 grabber type arms. So many choices, but easy to change mounts and how the ball is attached. David
Fred Salles Posted November 8, 2020 Report Posted November 8, 2020 I use the K&M 19790 tablet holder, cause it is adjustable so I can fit my Ipad with its protective rubber. https://www.k-m.de/en/products/multimedia-equipment/holders/19790-tablet-pc-stand-holder-black-3-8 I mount it on a magic arm so I just need to twist it back in the cart at wrap (I take the ipad home though, most of the time). It is some sort of ABS plastic, but it is quite strong, no problem since 2017.
