foliver Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 Hi all. Nerd question. i was thinking how many actuations can handle the SD card system of a recorder before it start to fail. 1. Fail in the mechanic lock-release 2. Fail in the contact points. it feels so delicate..... Quote
Display Name Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 Most of them are speced at around 10000 cycles. But which part that might fail in the end I don’t know. Quote

I myself would never touch that slider but i know its standard practice for DIT to write protect. It gets loose and before you know it just inserting the card goes into write protect rendering the card useless unfortunately...unless there is a fix? Quote
