  1. I have to agree. Just get a new one and be done with it. If you get and upgrade out of it too, then you are sitting better off anyway even if you don't get to keep the original Tx. The last thing you want to happen is not get a replacement since you got it working, and then a few months down the road it stops working because of some unseen damage.

    Orca OrCart

Thanks for the info. It doesn't seem like there are too many people that have adopted the Orcart. I'm curious if the large price tag deters some people.

    Orca OrCart

I was hoping to revive this thread to se if there were anymore users of the Orcart out there. It looks like a pretty cool product but it is has a pretty big price tag. Any thoughts or more user experiences out there?
  4. Any reception disadvantages in dual mode with ZHD?
  5. I'm crossing my fingers that individual Tx sleep is on this list!
  6. I was thinking the same thing. There are definitely a bunch of good uses for the SRx! But I also think that if it were able to receive 2 mono channels or a new version of it was able to, (even if it only was half of the current wideband, say 20-23 & 24-26 like their Tx's) I think it would open Zaxcom up to a bigger market of people who already own SL-6's, or just mixers looking to keep their bag as small as possible with the most amount of wireless channels. Dual Rxs seem to be in high demand for the bag these days. Especially in this time when people are looking to get their bags as small as possible while also having a lot of wireless channels to manage.
  7. Will current QRX receivers be able to still get 2 mono channels of ZHD?
  8. I don't use it. I wasn't too sure what it was for as it didn't really seem to do anything.
  9. Yes, I love it for shoulder relief. It feels much more ergonomic than your conventional harness or you can wear it like that if you want.
  10. I use two little Velcro clips that I always keep attached to my boom for hooking on things when needed as they always seem to come in handy. So with the Ktek bag it is simple to just hook both onto the MOLLE straps and have it hang out of the way and it is also quick and easy to deploy. Doesn't fall off either. You can also hang it off the front bag straps too if you wanted. Ive definitely been thinking about this bag a lot and have some thoughts about it. So far it seems to be the best fit for this type of setup.
  11. New KTek medium bag. Good fit for 6 channels and plenty of room to spare for more wires or hops. I like it better than the Orca for the comfortable feel with the Stingray harness. It doesn't have that uncomfortable metal bar across your belly.
  12. I agree. I never rent anything while traveling. I find that it's easier to have everything already with you, and renting while traveling abroad seems like it has the potential for too many problems. I've been on productions where they tried to rent some other things while abroad and it has turned into a complete disaster. It seems that I already have enough of my plate while traveling, and having to deal with rentals would just be another thing that I'd rather not deal with if I didn't have to.
  13. I have noticed this with my receivers and Tx's as well every now and then. Just recently I had this happen with a pair that wasn't even unreasonably close to each other, but every now and then another one of my QRXs would receive a signal from a different frequency where the green LED. Would sporadically turn on and off. It seemed to be easily fixed by just changing the frequency by one step, as if it was almost receiving a weird intermod of another channel.
  14. Just cosmetic changes or any new features on the inside?
  15. But can decode a stereo signal.
  16. I have noticed this is well. As soon as I get some dipoles up on the harness, I get a lot of completely open parts to my scans, of course depending upon my location. If I'm doing a shoot where I need the extra range, I will go with those. If I don't, then whips it is. I have noticed that when I have just 1 QRX on and then turn on a 2nd QRX, I immediately get a bump in the noise floor, almost as if one QRX is outputting RF spray to the other. don't get that with my Lectros though.
  17. Yes please. Are they wideband?
  18. I'm curious where your information is coming from on on the net zero carbon via cows. Everything I have seen shows the larger amount of wasted energy, larger carbon footprint, and environmental waste through cow production. Although this maybe be true following a blade of grass for example, some people might therefore assume cow production is "net zero". It seems misleading... unless what I've seen is incorrect.
  19. A whole new nomad screen GUI for the nomad itself or for Nomad Touch?
  20. I'm interested in this too. With everyone shooting on C300's, an internally powered, reliable, high quaily hop is very enticing. Mounting anything large on a camera like this can be a nightmare.
  21. I have noticed it on tone.
  22. From the Zaxcom forms, Howie said that Zaxnet cannot operate outside of 48 kHz, as this is the only frequency that the IFB module is meant to work in. Outside of that will cause issues.
