Whit Norris Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 Today Friday February the 20th is the anniversary of the loss of Sarah Jones on the film Midnight Rider. I encourage everyone on their sets today to take a minute of silence and remember Saftey For Sarah and how no one should ever die for making a film or production. Please encourage your production to take a minute and to remember safety first... Stop And Care. Whit Quote
budster Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 It's my actually my birthday today which for me means I will never ever forget her. I will always have a thought for her on this day. Rest in peace Sarah. Quote
dfisk Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 It's been a year already? If you would have asked me I would have said this happened just a few months ago. Man...We still have a slate in the office that says "Remember Sarah". Quote
old school Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 A year ago we lost young, hardworking camera assistant, Sarah Jones due to the criminal greed and arrogance of a scumbag production team who put her and other crew members in harms way. I think about her everyday as I work the sets in Hollywood. I will do my best to let others never forget as well. RIP Sarah. CrewC Quote
old school Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 BTW, my 1st take of the day was 4Sarah t1.... I voice slated it as such and rolled a minute of silence as I prayed for her family and friends. CrewC Quote
Whit Norris Posted February 20, 2015 Author Report Posted February 20, 2015 We had a afternoon call and several minutes of silence for Sarah before the first shot. Here is our slate. Most of the crew I'm with knew and worked with Sarah. Quote
old school Posted February 20, 2020 Report Posted February 20, 2020 Practice safety my sisters and brothers. Six years gone but not forgotten. Rest In Peace Sarah Jones. CrewC Quote
Philip Perkins Posted February 20, 2020 Report Posted February 20, 2020 "RIP SJ" is still on my slate.... Quote
Erin Bliss Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 I didn't know Sarah's story but it's safe to say I'll never forget it now. Quote
Philip Perkins Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 Please don't. People still ask about what "RIP SJ" means on my slate. I have had one or two full of themselves camera or director folks not be thrilled with it, but it's my slate, see.... Quote
