John Blankenship Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 I am judging by the posted specs: rx200 7.7oz QRX235 and qrx200 6oz I understand. That's why I mentioned that "Numbers on product pages are often misleading." A QRX200, without antennas, weights 10oz. Quote
joinwooHK Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 QRX need to be carring an external battery , which in fact need to take into account. I really miss the receiver can be insert battery and run. Quote
Ze Frias Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 I am judging by the posted specs: rx200 7.7oz QRX235 and qrx200 6oz perhaps the listed weight of the RX200 is with internal batteries? I remember holding up the prototype at NAB (which did not have batteries in it) and thinking that it was lighter than the QRX. Quote
Glen Deakin Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 The manual should be on line soon The menu structure is quite similar to the qrx200 just without dual mode items. The rx200 will support XR but not in stereo mode. great thanks Jack Quote

The rx200 will support XR but not in stereo mode. That is a real bummer since its primary use is a stereo hop receiver. Is this something that isn't possible due to hardware design, or might be changed later? Quote

According to two of my scales, a QRX200 weighs 10oz. (without antennas). According to Glenn, an RX200 weighs in the low 7oz. territory. The NAB prototype was just a mockup. Quote

The RX200 can decode all modulation types - mono, XR, stereo and EU modulation. Quote

Ze Frias Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) Ahhh, so the Cam Link (or 742) can't transmit a 2 channel signal using XR, correct? correct. They would transmit using the "stereo" modulation if transmitting two channels. Edited September 12, 2015 by Jose Frias Quote
Jack Norflus Posted September 13, 2015 Author Report Posted September 13, 2015 Ahhh, so the Cam Link (or 742) can't transmit a 2 channel signal using XR, correct? yes but if the 742 is sending a mono you can transmit it using XR. Quote

Jason A Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Looks like Christmas came early. Looks good Jack! Really curious about some real world AA battery life tests. Have you had a chance try out any of our common rechargeables yet? Eneloop, imedion, etc? Quote

boodschap Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 I'm planning on getting a QRX200. Or should I get a QRX235? Does QIFB does anything that can't be done through Zaxnet on my Nomad? Or am I totally wrong... Quote

If you were using it on a camera then the 235 might be a better option. Quote
