  1. Hi! Any tips or tricks to use when recording a workout session. The instructor is bouncing on mini trampoline while giving a presentation on the exercise. To the instructors credit she never sounds out of breath, but maintains a good level of volume. Has as anyone had success with such a gig? What tools and techniques worked for you? Thanks for reading this!
  2. “I have a good deal of experience with lighting but don't want to make it a main focus. I would welcome a small gig where I could wear two hats as sound and gaffer at the same time. Do you find yourself in this position often?” Aw man, focus on one job and put your all into it! Trying to do both at once is... 🤪
  3. Turn it into cash before it further deprecates. What you gain will be two-fold. Cash and space, although freedom from the horde will be your best reward. 😉 Focus your gear down to the pieces you use most and rent the rest when you need it. The motto of most production gear is: Hot today, passé tomorrow. And be be sure to invest in yourself by continuing to develop your skill set!
  4. After an outcry from iPhone users that Apple is slowing down older iPhones to prolong battery life, the Verge is reporting: Apple says that batteries are “consumable components,” and is offering anyone with an iPhone 6 or later a battery replacement for $29 starting in late January through December 2018 — a discount of $50 from the usual replacement cost. Apple’s also promising to add features to iOS that provide more information about the battery health in early 2018, so that users are aware of when their batteries are no longer capable of supporting maximum phone performance. Visit Apple’s website for more info: https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and-performance/ This would be a great way to extend the useable life of older devices still in workflows.
  5. +1 on that! Sure to be a hit with the Star Wars Stormtrooper crowd. Would also be easier to see in a dark set/sound bag. I would totally buy this! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. An inch makes a big difference in performance. However, I've learned that girth is just as, if not more, important. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. +1 I've always assumed it is "buyer beware" you hedge your bets and hope for the best. It never occurred to me as a buyer to try and go back to the seller if something went wrong after I received the item. That being said, if was the seller I would work with the buyer to make sure they are satisfied. I guess it comes down it you personal moral code. I'd hate to get a bad name in this forum - but others might not care. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hope your day is great, Jeff! Might be a good opportunity to give out a gentle reminder that donations to support this amazing forum are always appreciated! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I guess there was no wait on the CF as both cards arrived this past Saturday. The media I was using before (Sandisk) was working fine but better safe than sorry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I ordered from Location Sound in Los Angeles. Shipping out the SD but there is a wait on the CF. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. But if I use this on set, I won't be able to hear the camera crew[emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Great link! Thanks for the post, Dejan. I'm using a 302 with my 633 and will probably keep it that way after checking it that thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Sorry to hear this. For what it's worth, I'll keep an eye out.
  14. I'm hoping the outside dimensions are the same as the SRb for mounting purposes.
