Hey folks! I'm trying to figure out the best Zaxnet antenna for my Nomad. Seeking the best compromise between (1) decent signal range (2) unobtrusive form factor in the bag and (3) minimal stress on the Nomad's antenna mount. I've been using an antenna that's ~4 inches sticking straight up (pictured), but have had some issues with my bag and harness putting pressure on it, causing the mount to loosen. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I just ordered one of these, planning to loop the antenna through the webbing on the front of my Ktek bag. With a right angle adapter on the SMA it should both get the antenna out into the open as well as take the stress off of the connector

What were your results?

Not a the same antenna. There  is difference between both.  Off course it will work but not optimal. There are a lot of 2.4gHz antennas available just make sure it is not reversed polarity. Digikey is a good source. Or Lcom

You can also just point the antenna down.

haven't had a chance to test it yet, my work for the last few months have all been interview or simple doc where I'm within a few feet of talent and have just continued using the rubber duck

Why do you think it wouldn’t help? Just curious, I don’t know too much about WiFi signal boosting.

Through the years I have not seen any passive solutions making any difference. You can try a bigger antenna and it makes a little difference.

That hak5 link is a .8 watt amplifier, so I'm sure it'll help

I did not see that it has a little power input. so it is not passive. Still those specks look like advertising mumbo jumbo.

Do try it. Maybe it helps.

It works. I certainly do get increased range - and many less complaints from IFB users. 🙂

Still not ideal to use 2.4gHz for ifb. Also freeze some sperm if you want to have some kids in the future.
