I'd been thinking about Gil Scott-Heron recently, even before his death. So sad that such a talent was unable to overcome his addiction to the pipe. I spent a big part of the year his album "Winter in America" was released working on the streets, playgrounds and rec centers in Washington, DC and it was everywhere.

Yes they did. While you n Don were roaming around backstage, I saw George n the band from the center shooting platform. It was as good as any show I've ever seen/heard. I hope they are still on the road, playing rock n roll. I know one thing though, George is not making those same moves today. BTW, I got this video from http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/video  Very cool musical site from Bill Graham's company.

If we were a musician centric group we could/would have a Leslie n Hammond B 3 section. What a special part of rock, soul, funk that organ has played. I'm rich in love, but if I ever get rich in $$, I will get one to go with all my other fantasy gear.
