azw
Zack - you can feed it on an iphone 5/OS 6.1.3?
Zack
I'm still on a 4s with 6.1.3, works fine.
azw
When I feed it, it's as if nothing is plugged in and it's getting input from the built-in mic....

soundslikejustin
Is it me or does the app not work with iPhone 5? Just got a cable made to go from an SB-3 to the iPhone but am showing no input at all. I can 'jumpstart' the SB-3 from the app, but can't read it. azw Is it a trrs connector? Ie 4 sectioned mini jack, rather than 3.
azw
Yes it's a trrs. I'm going to get the cable checked out next week.

fatfatjames
Hi Carlos. Are you jamming your phone from the slate? Or the other way round?
cmgoodin
App looks great. How about a version for us non Fruity Fhone users. Any plans for an Antroid version? It is the most popular Phone operating system after all.

tvaudioman
I just ordered a cable for this. Will the phone app "jam" TC, ans keep it when input cable is disconnected? (Even if it does drift some) Same question for ambient Clockit App or TimeCode Buddy App? Or any app for that matter. Thanks.
syncsound
+1 on Android version.
Charlie Parra
Hi tvaudioman, The Denecke Timecode Toolbox app does not jam sync to timecode. It only reads and geneartates TC. The only app that I'm aware of that does jam sync TC is the MovieSlate app from Pureblend Software. The Android version of the app is on hold for now. We simply have too many projects going on right now and unfortunately the app is a low priority for now. My apologies to all of you who have been waiting for it. I hope this helps! tvaudioman
Thanks Charles. I'll be honest, I was hoping multiple people on set could jam to the "set TC". Even if it drifted slightly, it would be enough for note taking etc. Regardless, I look forward to playing with it next week. Thanks. Rakesh Anderson
http://www.denecke.com/Support/Documents/Smart%20Device%20Input%20&%20Output%20Cables%20Schematic.pdf I made a cable for this, and I finally got it to work by using 330k instead of 33k. T/C output from my HS-P82 into a iPhone 3. I had 3 failed attempts and finally mocked it up on a breadboard. I didn't have a 330k so I tested it with 3 100k's and a 30K in series. Once I realized it wouldn't take a jam, then I gave up on it. But I did get it to work. The 33K resistor wasn't padding down the signal enough with my old phone and ios. Increasing resistance, it wasn't until I reached 330K that it read the timecode consistently, and any more resistance would make the signal to weak. The meter was just about to hit yellow when it was able to read incoming t/c.
Charlie Parra
Hi Guys, Sorry for the late reply. TC is fed into the headphone jack of the iDevice. It requires a TRRS 3.5mm plug. The trick is that the second ring is ground and the sleeve is the mic input. This may help: http://www.denecke.com/Support/Documents/Smart%20Device%20Input%20&%20Output%20Cables%20Schematic.pdf Please note that the cpacitor is not necessary. Remote Audio makes cables which work great as well. I hope this helps! Charlie
studiomprd
" Even if it drifted slightly, it would be enough for note taking etc. " that "etc." includes generating complaints that TC is not correct...

stacysound
I am not able to get time code toolbox to work with IOS 10. Anyone else? Update – the Google machine told me that it is not compatible. Denecke's Facebook page gives a little more detail. Any alternatives?
Paul Katzman
The 10.1 update seems to have fixed it! Upon first launch, it gives me the whole "this app hasn't been updated" 32-bit warning, but after that functions ok? At least that's my experience on my AT&T 6 Plus...
