John Blankenship Posted February 17, 2021 Report Posted February 17, 2021 I checked my master list of things the world should live without, and balanced RCA was on there. Quote

codyman Posted February 17, 2021 Report Posted February 17, 2021 I think the last thing I own that uses RCA cables is my turntable. Did a big cable de clutter / reduction while in the doldrums of COVID lock down (it literally took a Pandemic to make me address the mess in the garage) and I think I kept one spare and tossed the rest. Andrew From Deity Posted February 17, 2021 Report Posted February 17, 2021 .. but... the connector isn't any smaller than a TA connector and those lock... what is the purpose of this? Quote
Rick Reineke Posted February 17, 2021 Report Posted February 17, 2021 What? No white or green colored plugs? I will pass on them then and continued using the Switchcraft TA series type ..aka, mini XLR, which IMO are easier to terminate/solder than the unbalanced RCA. Quote

Instead of making a right angle, they chose to go with a "T" configuration for their low profile option. Having each wire come out of either side of the connector preserves the stereo separation. tourtelot Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 Oh, such a good idea. I expect to see these reviewed in Stereophile next month. No stopping science. D. Quote
